Il y a quelques années, alors qu’il y avait peu de boutiques sur Internet, un magasin sortait du lot, installé pas loin de Heathrow, Collectors Aircraft Models, où l’on pouvait trouver à peu près tout ce qui existait comme diecast à toutes les échelles possibles.
Ce magasin permettait d’adhérer à un Club, qui donnait droit à des réductions, et 4 fois par an, à un catalogue papier.
Oui, vous avez bien lu, malgré un site web, un catalogue papier, et ce n’était pas à l’époque de Neandertal…
Pour les membres du Club, il y avait aussi la possibilité d’acheter des modèles réalisés spécialement.
Puis, ce magasin a fermé, laissant un certain vide.

Mais avant, j'ai pu acheter le seul modèle au 1/144 réalisé pour le CAM Club, le BAC (British Aircraft Corporation) TSR-2.
J’ai relevé depuis quelques mois la possibilité d’acheter ce même modèle, aussi en métal, dans plusieurs livrées «what if» : guerre du Golfe, guerre des Malouines, RAE (Royal Aircraft Establishment), etc.
Pour l’instant, présenté ici, le BAC Tsr-2 du CAM Club aux couleurs du seul ayant volé, un des derniers symboles de l'industrie aéronautique britannique.
