1/144 Vickers Wellington

Il y a quelques années déjà que j'ai acheté sur le second marché ce Vickers Wellington fabriqué par Diverse Images au 1/144 (même si j'en avais déjà deux....).

Je l'ai laissé traîné dans un tiroir dans l'attente de lui trouver une livrée sympa, mais elles sont la plupart limitées au camouflage du Bomber Command.
Sauf que, finalement, après mure réflexion, et même si je n'aime pas trop peindre le blanc, je me suis décidé à le repeindre aux couleurs d'un avion du Coastal Command.


Some years ago I bought on the secondary market this Vickers Wellington manufactured by Diverse Images at 1/144 (although I had already two ....)

I left it in a drawer while waiting to find a nice livery, but they are mostly limited to the camouflage of the Bomber Command.
Except that, finally, after much thought, and even if I don't like to paint the white too much, I decided to repaint it in the colors of a Coastal Command aircraft.

Réalisé par Diverse Images au 1/144, le Vickers Wellington DWI, version du bombardier destinée au dragage des mines marines magnétiques.
Certains de ces avions dépendant du No.l GRU (General Reconnaissance Unit) ont essentiellement servi pour sécuriser le port d'Alexandrie et le Canal de Suez.

Le Vickers Wellington, ici réalisé par Diverse Images au 1/144, fut l'un des principaux avions du Bomber Command, avec sa stucture géodésique particulière, particulièrement résistante, inventée par Barnes Wallis, le père de la bombe Upkeep utilisée par les Dambusters (voir ici).

The Vickers Wellington, here made by Diverse Images at 1/144, was one of the main Bomber Command aircraft, with its unique geodesic structure, highly resistant, invented by Barnes Wallis, the father of the Upkeep bomb used by the Dambusters (see here).


Je rappelle que, comme les modèles de M. Chaubet, ceux de Diverse Images sont entièrement en métal, sans la moindre pièce plastique.
