1/144 Boeing B-29 Superfortress + Bell X-1 - by Corgi

You know the Bell X-1, the first aircraft whose shape was inspired by a 12.7 mm rifle bullet, to have exceeded Mach 1 in level flight (see here).

But for that, the aircraft was to be dropped by a carrier, a Boeing B-29 Superfortress, here made by Corgi at 1/144 scale.

And how was it hanged under the fuselage of the B-29 ?

Et le voilà prêt pour son record !

And it's ready for its record !

1/144 Bell X-1 - by Chaubet

A Bell X-1 made by Mr. Chaubet at 1/144.
This model was done a few years ago, because it is part of the first quarter of the production of Mr. Chaubet.
I always wondered if the models made later by Corgi or Dragon had not somewhat copied this model ?
