Légion d'honneur, Croix de guerre 1914-1918 (avec trente citations, dont 28 palmes et 2 étoiles de vermeil), Médaille militaire, Croix de Guerre (Belgique), Military Cross (Royaume Uni), Distinguished Service Cross (USA), Chevalier avec glaives de l'ordre de l'Étoile de Karageorge (Serbie), Croix de la Bravoure (Serbie), Chevalier de l'ordre de Danilo Ier (Monténégro) et Croix de Michel le Brave (Roumanie).

Voici donc un de ses avions, un Spad XIII que j'ai monté à partir des kits Reviresco et Skytrex (pour certaines pièces), peint et décoré avec les décalques du kit plastique Valom.

Un modèle de SPAD XIII, provenant d'un kit Reviresco avec certaines pièces du kit Skytrex, que j'ai monté, peint et décoré avec les décalques du kit plastique Valom, aux couleurs de l'as italien Francesco Baracca, le meilleur pilote italien de la première guerre mondiale avec 34 victoires.

L'étalon noir cabré décorant l'avion de Baracca était un souvenir de son passage dans la cavalerie après l'école militaire, emblème qui aurait été donné par sa mère au constructeur automobile Ferrari qui l'a repris en l'honneur du pilote, ainsi que par certaines unités de l'Aeronautica Militare.

Le SPAD XIII est la version améliorée du SPAD VII (envergure plus importante, moteur plus puissant, deux mitrailleuses au lieu d'une) modifications qui en firent un des meilleurs avions de l'époque, d'une très grande maniabilité, vitesse plus élevée (350 km/h), mais qui était réservé aux pilotes expérimentés.


A model of SPAD XIII, from a Reviresco kit with some parts of the Skytrex kit, that I build, painted and decorated with the decals of the Valom plastic kit, in the colors of the Italian ace Francesco Baracca, the best Italian pilot of the First World War with 34 victories.

The black prancing stallion decorating the plane of Baracca was a memory of his passage in the cavalry after the military school, emblem which would have been given by his mother to the Ferrari car manufacturer who took it again in honor of the pilot, as well as by some units of the Aeronautica Militare.

The SPAD XIII is the improved version of the SPAD VII (larger scale, more powerful engine, two machine guns instead of one) modifications that made it one of the best planes of the time, of great maneuverability, higher speed (350 km / h), but was reserved for experienced pilots.
