Avez-vous remarqué que, parfois, dans la vie, on réagit sans réfléchir.
Mais sans réfléchir du tout.
C'est ainsi que dans un des nombreux magasins du quartier Akihabara, à Tokyo, dans le rayon maquettes d'avions, j'ai remarqué une boite, toute seule, différente des autres, d'une marque inconnue, Woody Joe, et d'un avion au 1/144 que j'avais déjà de F-Toys ou autre fabriquant plastique, le Aichi M6A1 Seiran.

Did you notice that, sometimes, in the life, we react without thinking.
But without thinking at all.
This is how in one of the many shops of Akihabara neighborhood, in Tokyo, in the aircraft kits section, I noticed a box, alone, different from others, from an unknown brand, Woody Joe, of a plane at 1/144 scale that I already had from F-Toys or another plastic manufacturer, the Aichi M6A1 Seiran.

Et qu'est-ce que j'ai fait ?

Eh bien je l'ai pris !

Comme ça, sans réfléchir, et même sans regarder plus avant.

Bon d'accord, j'avais une excuse : je n'avais rien trouvé à acheter et j'avais un sérieux besoin de compenser...

Et le pire, c'est que je n'ai même pas ouvert la boite, car j'ai attendu d'être de retour chez moi pour le faire.

Et là, grosse surprise : c'est un kit en métal, avec des décalques, parfaitement présenté, avec une notice de montage très claire (et la possibilité de monter les ailes repliées).

Okay, I had an excuse : I did not find anything to buy and I had a serious need to compensate...
And the worst is that I even did not opened the box, because I waited to be back home to do it.
And there, great surprise: it is a metal kit, with decals, perfectly presented, with a very clear installation instructions (and the ability to mount it with folded wings).

Une petite curiosité : le fabricant a prévu un "maillage" en plastique déjà peint pour représenter les montants de la verrière.

Une vérification succincte pour vérifier les mesures par rapport au modèle F-Toys : tout semble correspondre.

Mais maintenant, se pose la question existentielle : d'où provient ce fabricant ?
Qu'est-ce qu'il fait d'autre ?
C'est en réalité un fabricant de bateaux en bois, à différentes échelles (voir son site ici), qui a également produit un sous marin au 1/144, de ceux qui embarquaient un avion comme le Aichi M6A1 Seiran (d'où la possibilité de monter les ailes repliées).

This is in fact a manufacturer of wooden boats at different scales (see his website here), which also produced a submarine at 1/144 scale, of those who boarded an aircraft like the Aichi M6A1 Seiran (hence the possibility of mounting with folded wings).
