Après avoir réalisé l'Autoblinda AB41 (voir ici), je me suis dit qu'elle méritait d'être présentée avec un petit diorama....
Donc, j'ai fait des recherches d'après les éléments italiens que j'avais construits, et j'ai trouvé quelques photos qui m'ont donné des idées.
Mais avant de les présenter, je me suis rappelé avoir dans mes stocks une base de désert que je n'avais jamais utilisée.
J'ai juste fait un brossage à sec sur les pierres et rochers pour casser l'uniformité de la scène.
After building the Autoblinda AB41 (see here), I thought it deserved to be displayed in a small diorama....
So, I did some research based on the Italian elements I’d built, and I found a few photos that gave me some ideas.
But before I showed them off, I remembered that I had a desert diorama base in my stash that I’d never used.
I just did some dry-brushing on the stones and rocks to break up the uniformity of the scene.
Pour les idées, la première photo concerne un Fiat CR.42 en mauvaise position...., dont j'ai déjà présenté un exemplaire provenant d'un kit en métal de Reviresco (voir ici).
For ideas, the first photo shows a Fiat CR.42 in a precarious position...., of which I have already presented an example from a Reviresco metal kit (see here)
La seconde concerne bien entendu l'Autoblinda AB41 telle que je l'ai présentée précédemment avec la Croix de Savoie sur le capot, qui permet de reconnaître le VIII bataillon de Bersaglieri, vue ici en "reconnaissance"....
The second concerns, of course, the Autoblinda AB41 as I presented it previously with the Savoy Cross on the hood, which allows us to recognize the VIII Bersaglieri battalion, seen here in "reconnaissance".
La troisième photo concerne un camion Alfa Romeo 800RE, bien sûr au 1/144, dont j'ai oublié le nom du fabricant, ayant été largement utilisé par l'armée italienne en Libye pendant la seconde guerre mondiale.
C'est un modèle partiellement en métal et résine que j'ai monté et peint il y a quelques années, sans jamais le présenter....
The third photo concerns an Alfa Romeo 800RE truck, of course in 1/144 scale, but whose manufacturer's name I have forgotten, having been widely used by the Italian army in Libya during the Second World War.
It’s a model made partly of metal and partly of resin that I assembled and painted a few years ago, but never got round to showing off....
Et enfin, pour donner un peu de vie à la scène, un personnage tiré d'une des photos présentées dans le précédent post, montrant que les équipages d'automitrailleuses dépendant des Bersaglieri portaient sur le casque les plumes propres à cette formation.
Bon, mais il n'est peut être pas utile de pousser le réalisme jusqu'à mettre des plumes sur une figurine au 1/144, non ?
And finally, to give a little life to the scene, a character taken from one of the photos presented in the previous post, showing that the armored car crews belonging to the Bersaglieri wore on their helmets the plumes specific to this formation.
Okay, but it's probably not necessary to push realism to the point of putting feathers on a 1/144 scale figure, is it?
Et maintenant ?
Rien de mieux qu'une petite histoire pour présenter un diorama....?
Le chef d'équipage d'une Autoblinda AB41 du VIII Battaglione Bersaglieri Blindato Autonomo (VIIIe Bataillon blindé autonome de Bersaglieri) surveille les alentours pendant qu'une équipe de la Regia Aeronautica vient rechercher le pilote qui s’est crashé avec son Fiat CR.42 à court d’essence dans le désert de Libye, et récupérer l'avion s'il est réparable...
Mais où est passé le pilote ?

What better way to introduce a diorama than with a short story...?
The crew chief of an Autoblinda AB41 from the VIII Battaglione Bersaglieri Blindato Autonomo (8th Autonomous Armored Bersaglieri Battalion) keeps watch while a team from the Regia Aeronautica searches for the pilot who crashed his Fiat CR.42, which ran out of fuel, in the Libyan desert, and recovers the aircraft if it is repairable...
But where has the pilot gone?
Alors ? Vous avez vu le casque du soldat sur l'Autoblinda...?
Rien ne vous surprend ?
Et bien, oui, je n'ai pas résisté à créer les plumes du casque de Bersaglieri....
Bon, les plumes sont un peu verticales, alors on va dire que c'est à cause du vent....😄
So? Did you spot the soldier’s helmet on the armoured car...?
Doesn’t that strike you as odd?
Well, yes, I couldn’t resist adding the feathers to the Bersaglieri’s helmet...
Right, the feathers are standing up a bit, so let’s just say it’s because of the wind...😄
