Trouvé au hasard d'une recherche internet pendant l'été, et réalisé par le fabricant Amercon, un Dragon Lady, avion de reconnaissance depuis les années 50....et toujours en service, bien connu notamment pour celui qui a été abattu par les soviétiques, son pilote Gary Powers ayant été emprisonné.
Le modèle est pas mal, conforme dans ses dimensions, et je n'ai eu qu'à rectifier la peinture des deux deux roues auxiliaires fixées sous les ailes (et qui tombent lors du décollage de l'avion).
Puis, j'ai juste passé un vernis mat sur le modèle car toutes les photos des U-2 démontrent qu'ils ne sont en aucun cas brillants comme le modèle Amercom.
Pour les photos de l'avion original, je me suis aperçu que nombre des U-2 ont leurs marquages d'identification (en particulier sur la queue) partiellement ou intégralement effacés (voir la photo de l'avion au sol).
Found by chance during an internet search during the summer, made by the manufacturer Amercon, a Dragon Lady, reconnaissance plane since the 1950s....still in service, and well known in particular for the one which was shot down by the Soviets, its pilot Gary Powers having been imprisoned.
The model is not bad, conforming to its dimensions, and all I had to do was rectify the paintwork on the two auxiliary wheels attached to the underside of the wings (which fall off when the plane takes off).
Then, I just applied a matt varnish to the model because all the photos of the U-2s show that they are in no way shiny like the Amercom model.
For the photos of the original plane, I noticed that many of the U-2s have their identification markings (especially on the tail) partially or completely erased (see the photo of the plane on the ground).
Mais, j'ai fini par trouver une photo avec les marquages complets.
But, I ended up finding a photo with the complete markings.
