Voilà le Short S.23 Empire C Class, hydravion conçu dans les années 30, capable de transporter 1.400 kg de courrier et 24 passagers, nombre réduit à 17 pour pouvoir emporter plus de courrier.
La classe C a été à l’origine de grandes avancées aéronautiques :
- le composite Mayo : un hydravion plus léger porté par un Classe C modifié,
- un ravitaillement en vol réalisé entre un Handley Page Harrow et le Cabot, un S.23 également modifié.

Here is the Short S.23 Empire C Class, flying boat designed in the 30s, capable of carrying 1.400 kg of mail and 24 passengers, number reduces to 17 to carry more mail.
The C Class has been at the origin of major aeronautical advances :
- the Mayo composite: a lighter seaplane carried by a modified C-Class,
- In-flight refueling between a Handley Page Harrow and the Cabot, an S.23 also modified.
