Le modèle présenté a été coulé en métal sur la base du kit en résine de Welsh Models, avec certaines petites pièces du kit Sova-M ont été également utilisées.
La décoration est celle de la Compagnie Western Air Express, qui assurait la liaison entre Cheyenne (Wyoming) et Albuquerque (Nouveau Mexique).
Cet avion a été initialement développé par la division Pilgrim Aviation de Fairchild sous le nom de Pilgrim 150 ou Fairchild 150, puis qui sera dénommé GA-43 après le rachat de Pilgrim par General Aviation (qui sera plus tard fusionnée avec North American Aviation, dont ce sera le premier avion....).
Le General Aviation GA-43 était un avion de ligne de 10 places, un des premiers entièrement métallique et à train rentrant, qui ne sera construit qu'à 5 exemplaires, dont le prototype.

Ce petit avion est tellement sympa, que j'envisage un petit diorama.... C'est d'ailleurs pour ça que j'ai mis tellement de temps à présenter ce modèle après les travaux de coulage de l'été. A suivre donc....
