En effet, après la défaite de la Pologne, l'Armée de l'Air a inclus dans ses rangs des pilotes de chasse polonais, qui ont réussi à tirer quelque chose de cet avion (12 victoires en 3 jours) en continuant à voler dessus alors qu'il avait été retiré du service actif (mais il n’y avait rien d’autre pour se battre…).
