1/144 Vought OSU2 Kingfisher

Voici un kit de M. Chaubet acheté sur le second marché il y a déjà plusieurs années, que j'ai monté, peint et décoré aux couleurs d'un Kingfisher de l'aviation chilienne dans sa livrée de la première expédition chilienne en Antarctique en 1947.

Le montage et la peinture n'ont pas présentés de difficultés, si ce n'est la très longue séance de masquage pour la verrière....


Here is a kit by M. Chaubet bought on the second market several years ago, that I assembled, painted and decorated in the colors of a Kingfisher of the Chilean aviation in its livery of the first Chilean expedition to the Antarctic in 1947.

The assembly and painting did not present any difficulties, except for the very long masking session for the canopy....

Pas de message ces prochains jours pour cause de déplacement en Angleterre.
Hélas, pas de salon de la maquette ou de musée prévus.
En attendant, le dernier de la livraison de Hunter au 1/144 de M. Chaubet, que j'ai décoré aux couleurs chiliennes avec la planche de décalques Xtradecals.

No message in the coming days due to travel to England.

1/144 Airco Dh.9

Un Airco Dh.9 en kit de Reviresco que j'ai monté et peint aux couleurs chiliennes.
Airco est la compagnie de construction d'avions dans laquelle travaillait De Havilland avant de créer sa propre entreprise.
Comme la plupart des avions chiliens à l'époque, il portait un nom de ville ou de région, ici la ville de Tacna qui était chilienne avant d'appartenir au Pérou.
Cet avion a pris part à un raid de longue distance entre Santiago du Chili et Tacna en 1924.


An Airco Dh.9 kit from Reviresco that I built and painted in the markings of Chile.
Airco was an aircraft manufacturer company where worked De Havilland before creating his own company.
Like most Chileans aicraft at the time, it wore a name of a city or region, here the city of Tacna who were Chilean before belonging to Peru.
This machine took part in a long-distance 'raid' between Santiago de Chile toTacna in 1924.
