1/144 Chengdu J-20 - by ???

Parmi les bonnes surprises de l’été dernier, il y a ce modèle tout en métal, de l’avion prototype chinois Chengdu J-20, trouvé par hasard sur Ebay, provenant d’un fabricant inconnu.

Après vérifications, ce modèle est tout à fait conforme aux mesures du modèle Dragon que j’avais en PVC tout monté.

Ma seule intervention a été de peindre la verrière comme pour mes autres modèles en métal, car à l’origine elle était en plastique transparent laissant apparaître un pilote peu convaincant, dans une combinaison de vol d’un bleu criard.


Among the pleasant surprises of last summer, there is this all-metal model, of the Chinese aircraft prototype Chengdu J-20, found by chance on Ebay, from an unknown manufacturer.

After verification, this model is in totally conformity with measures of the Dragon model I had in fully assembled PVC.

My only intervention was to paint the canopy as for my other metal models, because originally it was made of clear plastic revealing an unconvincing pilot in a flight suit with a gaudy blue.
