Pendant les vacances du mois dernier, je me suis amusé...
Ou plus exactement, j'ai joué....
J'ai utilisé quelques trucs que j'avais acheté ici ou là pour en faire des dioramas.


During the holidays last month, I had fun...

L'heure de la sieste - The nap time

Quelque part en Italie du sud, un équipage de canonniers de Flak 88 avec son tracteur SdKfz 7 se repose sous la tente après une journée éprouvante.
Matériaux F-Toys ou similaires, largement repeints et améliorés par quelques détails.


Somewhere in southern Italy, a Flak 88 gun crew with their Sdkfz 7 tractor are resting under the tent after a trying day.
F-Toys or similar materials, extensively repainted and improved by some details.

Réveil brutal - Rude awakening

Quelque part en Europe de l'Ouest, un char Churchill et un Daimler Dingo de reconnaissance subissent un tir de mortiers.
Réalisé avec des véhicules Oxford, eux aussi repeints, décorés et améliorés par quelques détails.


Somewhere in Western Europe, a Churchill tank and a reconnaissance Daimler Dingo came under mortar fire.
Made with Oxford vehicles, also repainted, decorated and improved by a few details.

Et maintenant, bien fatigué par ce dernier effort...., de vraies longues vacances....
Et pour ces vacances, comme je suis un peu "fashion victim", je me suis bien équipé.
Notez le jeu de mots quant à l'insensibilité à la pression.... à entendre aussi par rapport à la bière, bien sûr...., pour le Teddybeer....

And now, very tired by this last effort...., a real long vacation....
And for these holidays, as I'm a kind of a fashion victim, I got well equipped.
For English speaking friends, a few explanations :
On either side of the bear image : on the left, Always cool in French also means "always quiet" or "always fresh" and on the right, Never stressed.
And the expression under the bear image, Insensitive to pression is a joke on the French word "pression" that means "pressure" or "draft beer"....

1/144 Hawker Sea Hawk Kon. Marine

C'est une honte !!!!
Après le retour de quelques vacances, un message sur le Hawker Sea Hawk aux couleurs de la Royal Navy, puis plus rien pendant 10 jours et quoi de neuf ? un autre message sur un Hawker Sea Hawk...., encore.

Bon, d'accord, cela manque de régularité.... mais le deuxième Sea Hawk est quant à lui aux couleurs de la Marine Royale Néerlandaise, la Koninklijke Marine ou Kon. Marine.
Bon, d'accord, ce n'est pas très original mais c'est la faute à ces militaires qui manquent de singularité dans leurs décorations d'avions....(joli exemple de mauvaise foi, non ? 😎😏😕)

Mais je vous ai prévu un petit jeu....
Le modèle présenté, sur la base des décalcomanies du kit Miniwings, et provenant du moule complet commandé à M. Chaubet (voir ici), est un avion de la Naval Air Station Valkenburg et porte donc la lettre V sur l'empennage.

After returning of some holidays, a message on the Hawker Sea Hawk in the colors of the Royal Navy, then nothing for 10 days and what's new ? another message on a Hawker Sea Hawk...., again.

Well, okay, that lacks consistency ... but the second Sea Hawk is in the colors of the Royal Dutch Navy, the Koninklijke Marine or Kon. Marine.
Well, okay, it's not very original but it's the fault of these soldiers who lack singularity in their decorations of planes .... (nice example of bad faith, no ? 😎😏😕)

But I have planned a little game for you ....
The model presented, based on the decals from the Miniwings kit, and from the complete mold ordered to Mr. Chaubet (see here), is an aircraft from Naval Air Station Valkenburg and therefore has the letter V on the tail.

Et curieusement, il a gardé cette marque alors qu'il était affecté au 860 Naval Air Squadron (VSQ en hollandais) sur le porte-avions Karel Doorman.
Saurez-vous le retrouver sur la photo ci-dessous ???
Cherchez bien, il y est.....😂


And oddly enough, he kept this mark while assigned to 860 Naval Air Squadron (VSQ in Dutch) on the aircraft carrier Karel Doorman.
Can you find it on the photo below ???

1/144 Hawker Sea Hawk Royal Navy

Toujours provenant de la commande auprès de M. Chaubet d'un moule entier de différents modèles (voir ici), voici un Hawker Sea Hawk que j'ai monté, peint et décoré aux couleurs d'un avion de la Royal Navy pendant l'Opération Mousquetaire, c'est à dire la Crise de Suez, grâce aux décalques du modèle Miniwings, qui a servi de master.

Mais avant de vous présenter ce modèle, je ne résiste pas à vous montrer cette photo, classique comme d'autres, du démarrage des Sea Hawker...... Ecologique, non ?


Always coming of the order from Mr. Chaubet of an entire mold of different models (see here), here is a Hawker Sea Hawk that I built, painted and decorated in the colors of a Royal Navy plane during Operation Musketeer, ie the Suez Crisis, thanks to the decals of the Miniwings model, which served of master.

But before presenting this model to you, I can't resist showing you this photo, classic like others, of the start of the Sea Hawkers...... Ecological, right ?

En raison du confinement, je n'ai pas pu rencontrer M. Chaubet mais il m'a envoyé sa dernière livraison par voie postale.

Et voici les derniers modèles au 1/144 montés et peints sur lesquels il reste à poser des décalques : Grumman F6 Hellcat, Dassault Mirage III, De Havilland 88 Comet, North American Harvard T-6, Max Holste Broussard.

Alors, un petit quiz....?
Quelles vont être les nationalités pour ces différentes livrées....?

Due to the lockdown, I was unable to meet Mr. Chaubet but he sent me his last delivery by post.

1/144 Vought OSU2 Kingfisher

Voici un kit de M. Chaubet acheté sur le second marché il y a déjà plusieurs années, que j'ai monté, peint et décoré aux couleurs d'un Kingfisher de l'aviation chilienne dans sa livrée de la première expédition chilienne en Antarctique en 1947.

Le montage et la peinture n'ont pas présentés de difficultés, si ce n'est la très longue séance de masquage pour la verrière....


Here is a kit by M. Chaubet bought on the second market several years ago, that I assembled, painted and decorated in the colors of a Kingfisher of the Chilean aviation in its livery of the first Chilean expedition to the Antarctic in 1947.

The assembly and painting did not present any difficulties, except for the very long masking session for the canopy....

1/144 Fairey Gannet AEW.3

Provenant de la commande auprès de M. Chaubet d'un moule entier de différents modèles (voir ici), voici un Fairey Gannet AEW.3, dont le master provient d'un bonus Anigrand, que j'ai monté, peint et décoré.

Il ne faut pas confondre entre les deux versions opérationnelles du Gannet, celle dénommée AS.1 de guerre anti-sous marine et celle présentée ici, AEW.3, d'alerte radar aéroportée et utilisée uniquement par la Royal Navy.


Coming from the order from Mr. Chaubet of an entire mold of different models (see here), here is a Fairey Gannet AEW.3, whose master comes from an Anigrand bonus, which I assembled, painted and decorated.

It should not be confused between the two operational versions of the Gannet, that called AS.1 anti-submarine warfare and that presented here, AEW.3, airborne radar alert and used only by the Royal Navy.

Ce kit n'a pas présenté de difficultés spécifiques et j'ai même pu "tricher" un peu en utilisant la crosse d'appontage comme une béquille (nécessaire vu le poids de la bête) mais qui était utilisé dans la réalité comme il ressort d'une des photos ci-dessous.


This kit did not show any specific difficulties and I was even able to "cheat" a little using the landing stick as a crutch (necessary given the weight of the beast) but which was used in reality as it appears from one of the photos below.

Retour au gris (triste) des avions modernes, avec ce Super Etendard modernisé que j'ai commandé monté et peint à M. Chaubet et sur lequel j'ai posé des décalques de Vector 144.

Pour cet avion, et après la photo du modèle sur la catapulte, je ne résiste pas à vous montrer une autre photo, assez impressionnante, au décollage (ou une remise de gaz après un appontage raté?).
Et cela permet aussi de voir comment l'angle de lumière modifie les couleurs (pauvres modélistes que nous sommes...)

Back to the gray (sad) of modern planes, with this modernized Super Etendard that I ordered built and painted to Mr. Chaubet and on which I put decals of Vector 144.

For this plane, and after the photo of the model on the catapult, I can't resist showing you another photo, quite impressive when the aircraft takes off (or a go-around after a failed landing?).
And it also allows us to see how the light angle modifies the colors (poor modelers that we are ...)
