1/144 Hawker Hunter FGA.9

Après le F.6 c'est à dire la version de chasse, voici le FGA.9, c'est à dire la version d'attaque au sol du Hawker Hunter, avion construit à près de 2000 exemplaires et qui a été utilisé par près de 20 pays, de 1951 à 2014.
Oui, vous avez bien lu, dernier vol en 2014.

Et donc, encore un Hawker Hunter au 1/144, monté et peint par M. Chaubet, et que j'ai décoré aux couleurs de la Rhodésie, avant qu'elle ne devienne le Zimbabwe.


After the F.6, the fighter version, here is the FGA.9, ie the ground attack version of the Hawker Hunter, airplane constructed to almost 2000 copies and which was used by nearly 20 countries, from 1951 to 2014.

Après la livraison de 6 Hunter par M. Chaubet (voir ici), quelqu'un a-t-il trouvé sous quelles décorations ils allaient être présentés ?

Allez, je ne vous fais pas languir plus. Pour ce modèle, version F.6 c'est à dire chasse, une décoration belge grâce à la planche de décalques de Xtradecals (Hannants) au 1/144.

After Mr. Chaubet's delivery of 6 Hunter (see here), did anyone find out which decorations they were going to be presented ?

Come on, I do not make you languish anymore. For this model, F.6 version ie fighter, a Belgian decoration thanks to the Xtradecals (Hannants) decals sheet at 1/144.

1/144 McDonnell Douglas RF-4 Phantom II

Lorsque j'avais acheté un premier modèle de McDonnell Douglas Phantom de Witty, je m'étais interrogé pour en acheter un second et le redécorer.
Bien sûr, je ne me suis pas interrogé longtemps.... (voir ici et là).

Et finalement, après de nombreuses interrogations quant à sa livrée, voici le second Phantom de Witty au 1/144, mais cette fois aux couleurs de l'USAF au Vietnam, et dans sa version reconnaissance (avec la suppression du canon), grâce à une planche de décalques Printscale.


When I bought a first model of McDonnell Douglas Phantom from Witty, I wondered about buying a second one and redecorating it.
Of course, I did not question me a long time.... (see here and there).

And finally, after many queries about its livery, here is the second Phantom from Witty in 1/144, but this time in the colors of the USAF in Vietnam, and in its reconnaissance version (with the removal of the gun), with a Printscale decal sheet.

1/144 Gloster Meteor NF.11

Voilà un modèle qui m'a donné beaucoup de problèmes.
Initialement, c'était un modèle de Gloster Meteor NF.11 tout monté, peint et décoré par M. Chaubet aux couleurs de l'Armée de l'Air.
Mais, une chute violente a nécessité des travaux de réparations, et tout repeindre.
Puis, j'ai décidé de le redécorer aux couleurs de la RAF, avec la planche de 144th.co.uk, achetée à Telford, en Novembre 2016 (voir ici).
Et là, encore un drame : Je me suis trompé car j'ai placé des décalques pour un modèle NF.12, qui est parfaitement identique au NF.11, mais avec un nez beaucoup plus long (pour le radar).
J'ai donc du enlever la plupart des décalques (qui collent parfaitement bien, bravo 144th.co.uk), et donc repeindre certaines parties, avant de pouvoir faire, enfin, la bonne décoration que voici.


This is a model that has given me a lot of problems.
Initially, it was a model of Gloster Meteor NF.11 all mounted, painted and decorated by Mr. Chaubet in the colors of the French Air Force.
But, a violent fall required repair works, and repainting everything.
Then, I decided to redecorate it in the colors of the RAF, with the 144th.co.uk sheet, bought in Telford, in November 2016 (see here).
And there, again, a drama : I made a mistake because I placed decals for an NF.12 model, which is perfectly identical to NF.11, but with a much longer nose (for the radar).
So I had to remove most of the decals (which adhere perfectly, bravo 144th.co.uk), and thus repainting some parts, before finally being able to make the decoration here.

1/144 Rockwell B-1B Lancer - by Atlas

Cela fait des années qu'il était rangé dans un placard, au milieu de boites de maquettes en plastique destinées à récupérer pièces, décalques ou encore à servir pour des moules en silicone.
Et comme vous avez pu le constater, à la vitesse à laquelle je produis des nouveaux modèles, je n'ai pas beaucoup accédé à ce placard...
Mais comme j'ai un nouveau projet (oui, encore un...!!!), dont je vous parlerai plus tard, j'ai fait du rangement et je l'ai retrouvé.

Voici donc, au 1/144, un bombardier Rockwell B-1B Lancer, réalisé par Atlas-De Agostini, sur lequel je n'ai fait que changer les décalques, qui étaient très moches.

Le modèle est présenté sur socle, pour profiter au mieux de sa ligne, d'autant que cela m'évite de réaliser des trappes de trains d’atterrissage (avec tout le travail de retrouver la bonne peinture, etc...).

J'ai eu du mal à trouver une photo de l'avion dans sa première livrée camouflée, et non pas tout gris, comme c'est la mode aujourd'hui...


For years it has been stored in a closet,  in the middle of boxes of plastic models designed to recover parts, decals or even to be used for silicone molds.
And as you have noticed, at the rate at which I produce new models, I did not go often to this closet...
But since I have a new project (yes, another one... !!!), which I will tell you later, I did some tidying up and I found it.

So here, in 1/144, a Rockwell B-1B Lancer, made by Atlas-De Agostini, on which I only changed the decals, which were very ugly.

The model is presented on a base, to make the most of its design, especially since it saves me from making landing gear traps (with all the work to find the right paint, etc ...).

I had a hard time finding a picture of the plane in its first camouflaged livery, and not all gray, as is the fashion today ...

C'est le Printemps !!
Mais l'Hiver n'a pas dit son dernier mot, et délivre ses derniers coups de froid...
D'accord, j'exagère un peu, mais c'est bien sûr un prétexte pour vous présenter un avion sous le soleil.

Dans un premier temps, j'avais pensé à un de ces avions sous le soleil du Moyen-Orient, et qui pouvait être accompagné par l'automitrailleuse Humber Mk.III, déjà présentée ici.

Okay, I exaggerate a bit, but it is of course a pretext to present you a plane under the sun.
At first I thought of one of these planes under the sun of the Middle East, which could be accompanied by the Humber Mk.III armoured car, already shown here.

Mais comme j'en avais un peu marre des camouflages "classiques", j'ai préféré opter pour un avion intégralement en blanc (bien que je déteste peindre le blanc...).
Et voici donc un Lockheed Hudson au 1/144 de chez Atlas-De Agostini, entièrement repeint et redécoré aux couleurs du 53ème Squadron de la RAF alors qu'il opérait à Trinidad, dans les Caraïbes.
Pour illustrer ce modèle, j'ai choisi la photo d'un avion dont le pilote a bien réussi son atterrissage...

But as I was a little tired of "classic" camouflages, I opted for a plane entirely in white (although I hate painting white...).
And here is a 1/144 Lockheed Hudson from Atlas-De Agostini, completely repainted and redecorated in the colors of the 53rd Squadron of the RAF while it was operating in Trinidad, in the Caribbean.
To illustrate this model, I chose the picture of a plane whose pilot successfully landed...

1/144 RAF Refuelling Service : Bedford QL Refueller & Aec Matador Tanker

Après le RAF Emergency Set au 1/144 (voir ici), qu'est ce que vous diriez si je vous présentais le groupe de véhicules du RAF Refuelling Set d'Airfix : un camion-citerne Aec Matador 6x6 et un Bedford QLD en version ravitailleur ?


After the RAF Emergency Set at 1/144 (see here), what would you say if I introduced you the group of vehicles of the Airfix RAF Refuelling Set : an Aec Matador 6X6 Tanker and a Bedford QLD Refueller ?

Le Matador 6X6 Tanker a déjà été présenté (voir le précédent post), réalisé sur la base du modèle Oxford.

Le Bedford QLD Refuelling au 1/144 est réalisé à partir du kit en métal de Arrowhead Miniatures, pour lequel il a fallu créer des garde-boues, et ajouter une citerne en résine d’un autre fabricant dont j’ai oublié le nom (il a fallu réparer la citerne que j'ai endommagé en la désolidarisant de son véhicule d'origine…)

The Matador 6X6 Tanker has already been presented (see previous post), based on the Oxford model.

The Bedford QLD Refuelling at 1/144 is made from the metal kit from Arrowhead Miniatures, for which it was necessary to create mudguards, and add a resin tank from another manufacturer whose I have forgotten the name (it was necessary to repair the tank that I damaged by separating it from its original vehicle...)

Pour ce Bedford QLD, j’ai choisi, comme pour le set Emergency et le Aec Matador, une livrée post seconde guerre mondiale, car je trouve qu’avec son toit jaune, ce véhicule est très chic.


For this Bedford QLD, I chose, like the Emergency Set and the Aec Matador, a livery post World War II, because I find that with its yellow roof, this vehicle is very chic.
