Focke-Wulf 190 Family at 1/144

Une petite présentation comparative des 3 plus importants Focke-Wulf, le 190 A-8, le 190 D-9 et l'ultime version de la lignée (que je trouve le plus beau) le TA 152 conçu par Kurt Tank.

Je n'ai pas présenté le A-5, assez semblable au A-8 extérieurement mais que vous pourrez voir en suivant un des liens ci-dessous.

1/144 Supermarine Spitfire prototype by Diverse Images

Après avoir eu la chance de trouver un prototype Hawker Hurricane au 1/144, réalisé par Diverse Images (voir ici), je ne pouvais pas résister lorsque j'ai vu, du même fabricant, un prototype de Supermarine Spitfire.....

Alors, sans réfléchir, mais toujours avec beaucoup de courage, je l'ai acheté...

Et le voilà....


After having had the chance to find a Hawker Hurricane prototype at 1/144, produced by Diverse Images (see here), I could not resist when I saw, from the same manufacturer, a prototype of Supermarine Spitfire.....

So, without thinking, but still with great courage, I bought it ...

And there it is....

Piasecki-Vertol-Boeing Family at 1/144

Cela fait des années que parmi les photos de l'économiseur d'écran de mon ordinateur, j'ai cette photo des 4 hélicoptères double rotor de la famille Piasecki, devenue Vertol puis Boeing....


For years, among the photos of my computer's screensaver, I have this photo of the 4 double-rotor helicopters of the Piasecki family, which became Vertol and then Boeing....

Et il y a quelques jours à peine, en rangeant le CH-46 dans la vitrine avec ses petits copains..., je me suis aperçu que j'avais ces 4 hélicoptères de la photo au 1/144.
Alors je ne résiste pas à vous présenter ces 4 double rotors de ce même constructeur sous des noms différents :


And just a few days ago, when I stored the Ch-46 in the showcase with its little friends..., I realized that I had these 4 helicopters of the picture at 1/144.
So I can't resist presenting you these 4 double rotors from this same manufacturer under different names :

1/144 Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight

170 grammes....
C'est le poids de ce "beau bébé"....

Conçu en tant que successeur du Piasecki-Vertol H-21, le CH-46 Sea Knight est un hélicoptère moyen de transport à rotor en tandem, refusé par l'US Army considérant sa capacité de transport trop limitée (ce qui entraînera le développement du CH-47 Chinook) mais largement utilisé par les US Marines et la Navy du milieu des années 60 jusqu'en 2015.....

Lorsque le fabricant F-Toys a produit ce modèle, j'ai bien sûr envisagé d'en faire un moule pour le couler en métal et, le résultat a été très probant.

It's the weight of this "beautiful (big) baby"....

Designed as a successor to the Piasecki-Vertol H-21, the CH-46 Sea Knight is a tandem rotor transport helicopter, refused by the US Army considering its transport capacity too limited (which will lead to the development of the CH-47 Chinook) but widely used by the US Marines and the Navy from the mid-60s until 2015.....

When the manufacturer F-Toys produced this model, I of course considered making a mold to cast it in metal and, the result was very convincing.

Très peu d'ébarbage, un montage assez facile, la seule difficulté a été de renforcer les trains d'atterrissage en raison du poids du "bébé"....

Puis, la peinture, sans problèmes et une décoration assez longue avec beaucoup, beaucoup de décalques, dont celles de la planche Y-Kraft (fabricant japonais) de l'hélicoptère choisi, et assez fragiles.

Et voici donc, au 1/144, en métal, un Boeing CH-46 Sea Knight de l'US Navy, attaché au USNS Spica, navire de soutien dépendant du Military Sealift Command jusqu'à sa désactivation en 2008.


Very little deburring, fairly easy assembly, the only difficulty was to reinforce the landing gear because of the weight of the "baby"....

Then, the painting, without problems and a fairly long decoration with many, many decals, including those of the Y-Kraft sheet (Japanese manufacturer) of the chosen helicopter, and quite fragile.

And so here, in 1/144, in metal, is a Boeing CH-46 Sea Knight from the US Navy, attached to the USNS Spica, a support ship dependent on the Military Sealift Command until its deactivation in 2008.

1/144 Radar Würzburg Riese FuSE-65

Non, je n'étais pas en vacances....
J'étais concentré sur un modèle Brengun.....
Je l'ai reçu en début de confinement et je me faisais une joie de le monter.
Sauf que..., quand j'ai ouvert la boîte..., j'ai eu un peu peur devant la tâche à accomplir....


No, I was not on holidays ....
I was focused on a Brengun model.....
I received it at the start of confinement and I was happy to build it.
Except that..., when I opened the box..., I was a little scared in front of the task to accomplish...

Et malgré toute cette photodécoupe et ces pièces en résine (je n'aime pas trop travailler la résine...) et une notice qui semblait compliquée, finalement le montage s'est fait sans trop de difficultés, à condition d'être méticuleux et de bien étudier la notice et les différentes pièces.

La seule modification que j'ai faite a été de changer l'échelle d'accès, car elle était trop courte.

Après, il m'a semblé nécessaire de le présenter sur un diorama, avec deux véhicules, une Citroën Traction Avant (modèle Pro-Hobby repeint) et un Kruppe Kfz.70 "Protze" (kit de Arrowhead Miniatures).


And despite all this photoetching and these resin parts (I don't like working with resin too much ...) and a notice that seemed complicated, finally the assembly was done without too much difficulty, provided to be meticulous and to study the instructions and the different parts.

The only modification I made was to change the access ladder because it was too short.

Afterwards, it seemed to me necessary to present it on a diorama, with two vehicles, a Citroën Traction Avant (Pro-Hobby model repainted) and a Kruppe Kfz.70 "Protze" (Arrowhead Miniatures kit).

Et voici donc, au 1/144, quelque part en France occupée, un Radar Würzburg Riese avec le véhicule Kruppe Protze de l'équipe de veille, et la Traction Avant des officiers venus en inspection....


And so here, at 1/144, somewhere in occupied France, a Würzburg Riese Radar with the Kruppe Protze vehicle of the watch team, and the Traction Avant of the officers who came for inspection....
