Après la guerre, et pour relancer son industrie aéronautique, la France a repris à son compte un certain nombre d'avions qu'elle avait sous traité pour le compte des occupants allemands, dont le Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun, construit par la SNCAN (Société Nationale de Construction Aéronautique du Nord) sous le nom de Nord 1000 Pingouin, ici réalisé par M. Chaubet.

Une version tricycle sera réalisée ultérieurement sous le nom de Ramier / Noralpha (voir ici).
